Ingestre - inside

NEXT! Ingestre Pavillion - April 2008

Motoring on now... this was the Abbott introduction to Landmarking...

We went to Ingestre, which hadn't been on our 'radar' of ones to do, but it didn't disappoint. It is unique in that the only original part of the building is the facade/loggia - the rest has been built as new in the late 1980s/early 90s and kind of follows some of the original drawings, but as no-one really knows what it looked like, the information is a bit scarce.

Anyhoo, check out the external shots of the place...

Monreith - inside

A couple of pics from inside - the place looks huge and the kitchen is just that, but the living room is comparably pokey, but very cosy.

'Dead men' in the kitchen, above the fireplace...

The kitchen in all its glory...

Monreith - October 2007

Okay, slightly later than planned, but I've got a good excuse - a four month old baby girl!!

Here are some pictures of the house...
